Russell Cunningham started in 1978 as Associate Producer of the long running children’s TV show, The Wallace & Ladmo Show. Adding stand-up comedy by performing at the Playboy Club, Barnum & Bailey Circus and even as Ronald McDonald.
In 1980 he moved to Hollywood learning Film buying, Management, New Cinema Builds & Promotion of new release Major Motion Pictures from major Studios and LA based Motion Picture Productions. Russell added rock band manager to his CV as a successful manager using his A-list friends to elevate the status of the group.
Russell met his Aussie wife Colleen (16 years his senior) in LA and moved to Australia in 1984 leaving the Hollywood lights behind. Taking on a role of Publisher with Australia's leading Publishing houses before heading to Hoyts Cinemas. The taste for show biz was back and RLC Motion Picture Entertainment commenced in 1998 with a focus on Motion Picture & Television projects and Entertainment consultancy and was involved in the 2004 AFI Short Film of the year “Lennie Cahilll Shoots Through” and Producer of the feature "Birth of a Warrior".
Each new production always requires contracting and Russell continues to host many creative and loyal working entertainment industry colleagues. He is a member of the Australian Cinema Pioneers and has garnered the Paul Harris Fellow Award for his charitable work with Rotary. RLC brings the total production, marketing and execution experience to feature, documentary, television, gaming and web.
