as Christina McKinnon
The beautiful and enormously talented Lauren Grimson joins the cast as CHRISTINA MCKINNON. Christina was the lover of Ben Hall for a period of time in 1864 - 1865, and her involvement with the outlaw resulted in her arrest and incarceration after helping the gang burn down Morriss' General Store in Binda, NSW.
Lauren has studied at NIDA (open program) and The Australian Film and Television Academy. She started acting at a young age, appearing in her first television commercial at the age of five. Since then, she has been involved in a wide variety of screen productions including Cul De Sac with award-winning director Michael Joy (Men’s Group), AirLock directed by Marc Furmie (Terminus, Event Zero), brief appearances in Network 7’s Packed to the Rafters and Double Take and a number of TVC campaigns for companies such as Canon, Telstra and Careflight.
Lauren also loves the stage and most recently performed in The Importance of Being Earnest and The Crucible at the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre. Other roles she has enjoyed playing on stage include Perdita X Nitt in Terry Prachett’s Carpe Jugulum and Mrs Kendal in Bernard Pomerance’s The Elephant Man.
Lauren is incredibly passionate about Australian cinema and is thrilled to embody the role of Christina McKinnon in The Legend of Ben Hall.
