Erica Field is an actor and devisor working between film, contemporary theatre, and live art. Born and raised in Brisbane, she is currently Melbourne-based.
After listing acting as one of her desired professions in Grade 2, Erica continued to develop her love of the craft throughout high school and university, where she completed a degree in Performance Studies at QUT. Drawn to the world of contemporary performance, she spent the following years working on a range of highly interactive and immersive performance projects with some of Australia’s best young and emerging theatre artists, touring work both nationally and internationally.
In her pursuit of good-storytelling and ever expanding ways to connect with an audience, Erica made a late entry in to film in 2013. Since then, she has appeared in several short films, including Ouroboros and
Sailboats, both of which screened at the 2014 Festival de Cannes Short Film Corner. She has also featured in multiple Suncorp commercials, alongside Adam Gilchrist (her childhood cricket hero), but The Legend Of Ben Hall marks her first appearance in a feature film.
“I feel very honoured and blessed to be part of this film. It’s clearly driven by people bursting with passion and determination and spirit and I’m so excited to join such an amazing team."
